In March 2019 the Ladybirds organised "Some Nasty Women", an afternoon of talks on topics ranging from craftivism to the ethical issues with sex robots, to mark International Women's Day. The event also hosted local organisations relating to women's issues and a cafe with home made cakes and scones.
We regularly team up with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and run cafes and clothes swaps (swishes) at their events. In November 2018 we helped out at the first Sustainable Fashion Festival and raised £580.
In September 2018 we partnered with CamCycle on Bikes and Bloomers where we heard about the social history of Victorian women inventors and convertible costumes which transformed from ordinary women's clothing into cycle wear and went on a cycle ride. We raised money by selling tea and cake.
